Giving God Permission

"Prayer is man giving God the legal right and permission to interfere in earth’s affairs."

Does that statement, by Dr. Myles Munroe shock you? Could it be that God needs man’s permission to act on the earth? Could it be that the God of Heaven is waiting for us to grant Him permission to get involved in the affairs of mankind?

For the past few weeks we’ve been studying prayer. Pastor Josh took two services exploring what we call "The Lord’s Prayer" as a pattern, or template for prayer. Last Sunday we explored one of the reasons that prayers may go unanswered, namely that broken covenants in our past can delay the fulfillment of the promises of God in our lives.

On July 5th we will explore man’s true role and privilege in prayer. John Wesley once said, "God does nothing but in answer to prayer." God is looking for people that will partner with Him to bring about His purposes in the earth. Let’s be that kind of people today!
